Great news. Everything old can be new again. Well, metal goods at least, I’m getting on and there is no chance of becoming more youthful at this point.
If you are taking on a renovation project or are slowly moving your way through your home to make it over, then you need to know what is possible when it comes to powdercoating.
Any metal goods can be powdercoated. Fact. And it’s never been easier in the West. All you need to do is cruise down to Kororoit Creek Road and drop your goods into Mr Powercoat. Leave it with him and he will give them a new lease in life. And freaking quickly too.
When we bought our house I wasn’t a fan of the burgundy screen door, but it was such good quality that I knew we needed to save it. Painting wasn’t an option as it wouldn’t have given it a perfectly even coat nor worn very well. So we sent it off for recoating to make it black. I wasn’t aware of Mr Powercoat back then and we were charged a pretty penny for this exercise. I’m sure Mr P would have been a more competitive option for us to consider.
I have plans to see Mr P-Diddy when I finally get a separate room for daughter to style up. My mum’s been hoarding my own ornate bed from when I was a girl (in line with KonMari principles as the bed sparks joy for both of us). So I’ll be taking that rusting bad boy down for a sandblast and recoat and you’ll never know it’s more than 30+ years old.
He can even make you something new for you too. Like a brand new fence, gate, table legs and chairs and have them powdercoated in the process. He’s versatile like that.
There are over 110 Dulux colours to choose from and a long list of options of items Mr P can deal with. Some of the most common being:
- Gates
- Fences
- Security doors
- Lace work
- Letterboxes
- Table legs
- Chair legs
- Tap wear
- Outdoor furniture
- Letterboxes
- Bedheads
Key message: if it’s metal, Mr Powdercoat has you covered (pun intended).
